MASAGA 2024 - Play to Learn!

Can’t make NASAGA 2024 because you’re on the other side of the planet? Consider attending our partner conference, Malaysian Simulation and Gaming Conference (MASAGA 2024), from 22-24 October at the Everly Putrajaya Hotel in Putrajaya, Malaysia. If you can’t make it, consider passing the word on to a friend or colleague in the area.

Similar to NASAGA and ISAGA, MASAGA’s sessions serve:

  • Corporate Trainers

  • Educators

  • Researchers

  • Instructional Designers

  • Game Developers

  • Performance Improvement Specialists

  • Learning and Development Practitioners

  • Human Resource Practitioners

This year’s theme is “Play to Learn”, emphasizing making learning fun and structuring the process to encourage self-discovery. Play is all about experimenting and trying new things. MASAGA 2024 attendees will explore uncharted opportunities and unlock the potential of playful learning in three different types of sessions:

  • Plenary Session: Presenters will share concepts where games and simulation have been effectively used. This may include case studies, design principles with examples, application of methodologies or proof of theory that would empower the audience to incorporate those ideas for their games or simulations.

  • Breakout Session: Participants for this session will be around 20-30 persons. These are purely hands-on sessions for presenters to conduct game play of one or more games, test a new game, receive feedback and explore with the audience on other ways to use the game or simulation. These can be existing games with a fresh perspective.

  • Workshop Session: Provides a longer immersive, interactive learning experience where presenters can deeply engage participants in the development, implementation and analysis of games and simulations. These sessions will offer a comprehensive exploration of specific tools, techniques or concepts related to the use of games and simulations in learning.

Registration is open and you can take advantage of the Super Early Bird Ticket by registering before 15 August 2024. Check out this montage of MASAGA 2023 to see all of the amazing things that await you! Finally, if you have an idea to share, consider becoming a presenter at MASAGA 2024.
