This year, we are very excited to offer three pre-conference programs, each with a certification option. Certification is included in the pre-conference fee, but it is not required you complete it to attend the pre-conference day.
The cost for attending a pre-con session is $200. The pre-conferences are offered as full, one-day programs on November 6, 2019. They start at 8:30 am and end at 5:00 pm.
The pre-con is the foundation for the certificate programs. To receive your certificate, you must complete the pre-conference session. There will be at least five programs offered November 7-9, related to your certificate topic. Five of these 75 minute breakout sessions must be completed in order to receive your certificate.

APPLIED IMPROV FACILITATION BOOTCAMP
(FACILITATED BY OUR FRIENDS FROM THE APPLIED IMPROVISATION NETWORK)
Organizations talk about innovation, inclusion, executive presence, mindfulness, listening and empathy as the qualities of great leaders and teams. But can those things be taught? Improvisers believe the answer is “yes” – that communication, creativity, and collaboration are “muscles” that can be exercised and that improv is the gym for exercising them.
In this experiential intensive, we will explore how the principles and exercises of improvisation can be applied to help expand human performance in virtually any setting. Though a series of improv activities, debriefs, and case-study discussions participants will:
- Discover the core improv tenets
- Experience activities that are transferable to a wide-variety of training sessions
- Identify facilitation tips for shifting a simple game from “fun” to “transformative”
- Exercise their spontaneity, listening, storytelling and collaboration “muscles”
- Acquire key design strategies for integrating applied improvisation into training and development
Whether you work in hospitals wishing to improv patient-physician communication, with leaders wishing to increase their influence and impact, or with teams and organizations hoping to enhance cultures of inclusion, don’t miss this exciting chance to expand your own performance awareness and range – and then pay it forward.
